Canada is a beautiful place to visit. When you are planning a fly fishing trip, you’ll find an amazing adventure in Canada! Many of the rivers and lakes where fly fishing is the best are in remote areas, so when you choose fly fishing in Canada, you’ll have privacy with the added perk of some great fishing!

Some of the best fly fishing in Canada is found in the province of Ontario. There are many lodges you can choose from to stay at when you are there, but be warned that most of them are in very remote places where you are likely to be left alone with your party and can only get in and out by plane or train.

The Brown Bear lake system in Ontario is considered one of the best fly-in trophy smallmouth bass lakes in the area. The fish here average between two and three pounds, but four pound fish are common every season with some trophy wall hangers of 5-6 pounds being caught each year.

Norse Lake is a prime example of a remote Canadian fly-in wilderness lake. The lake is protected by a high, picturesque landscape that stays relatively calm even in windy weather. Here, you can catch beautiful walleye, Northern Pike, and smallmouth bass. Trophy sized fish are found every year, so fish this lake for some great opportunities.

Populus Lake offers twelve miles of beautiful water and land for you to explore when fly fishing in Canada. There are numerous channels and bays dotting this lake with all sort of landscape features like rock outcrops and weed beds which are prime breeding ground and hiding places for fish. This lake is situated in a very remote area with walleyes, trout, and Northern Pike in abundance.

Picture a cool, clear Canadian lake with lots of trophy sized smallmouth bass and Northern Pike and you’ll have Treelined Lake. This lake is so clear, you will be able to see the fish clearly near the shoreline. Wildlife is abundant here and it’s not uncommon to see a moose feeding on the shoreline in the twilight. You’ll find some real trophy sized fish on Treelined Lake with Northern Pike averaging over 5 pounds and smallmouth bass at 4-5 pounds.

Because so many fly fishing spots in Canada are located in remote locations, you’ll find peace and serenity during your fly fishing trip there. Enjoy the beauty of the Canadian wilderness while you catch the fish of your dreams. There are so many choices available to you that when you choose Canada for your next fly fishing trip, you’re sure to come away a winner either way!

Out of the budget medical emergencies can be extremely overwhelming and can be so burdensome. Especially when you are out on a trip with your family and friends, or on that important business trip only to find out that your Provincial Health Insurance will not cover your medical expenses; such a nightmare!

Provincial government health insurance plans will only cover emergency care up to a certain extent, and that extent is dependent upon the service that would have been expended in your home province. The rest should be paid for by you, and this is the difficult part here because this would come in very expensive especially if you are out of your own country. This is where travel health insurances come in handy.

Travel insurance is the answer to supplement provincial plan coverage and thus, ensure full coverage for medical emergencies, unexpected illnesses and accidents while on vacation outside Canada. Services like emergency hospitalization, physician fees, medical assistance, emergency medical transportation, health care monitoring and other related services can be provided as well.

In order for you to be eligible for coverage in your provincial health plans, most Canadian provinces require a minimum number of days that one should spend in the province each year. In Ontario, you should stay for a minimum of 153 days in that province within a 12-month period to be covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan. In Alberta, the minimum number of days of residency required is 183 days in a 12-month period to be eligible for care under the province health insurance plan; same is true with the most of the other Canadian provinces.

Are you aware that traveling to other provinces within Canadian territory could necessitate a need for you to secure travel insurance to get you covered? There are a number of provinces and areas in Canada where you can find yourself uncovered; there are a number of exceptions in the Provincial Health Plan policy. Items that are not covered include medicines prescribed in the course of consultation, dental services under certain instances and circumstances, expenses incurred from bringing a family member to the ill person’s bedside, ambulatory services for transport to a better facility, costs of returning the vehicle, appliance rental like wheel chairs, crutches, braces and the like, and also costs of accommodation of a travel companion.

This only means one thing: buying and securing yourself with a travel health insurance is a necessity, whether you are traveling in or out of Canada.

While mostly weddings are considered to be the alliances of hearts and souls, every wedding also has a legal background, changes in rights and most important changes in property. In Canada the Matrimonial Property is described as property owned by one or both of married spouses. Needles to say that property and child support are the two most argued problems during a usual divorce so in this article we will write about Matrimonial Property Law in Canada. It was initially established that after the marriage the property becomes common, but during a long period of the development and creation if the Common Law only the husband had the rights to manage the matrimonial property. But with time, when the legal definition and status of the family changed, women also obtained the right to manage property and naturally that brought in some additional legal rules.

While there are numerous differences Matrimonial property law in each province and territory has some general things in common. This law defines what things are considered matrimonial property, applies to spouses automatically upon marriage, says whether or not matrimonial property rights apply to common-law couples in the same way as married couples, describes rights and interests during marriage (or a common-law relationship, depending on the province or territory), describes how to divide matrimonial property upon marriage breakdown, provides for the enforcement of agreements regarding matrimonial property, provides special rights in regard to the family home. Also in different cases the spouses can ask the court for following matrimonial property decisions and protections: an order for temporary or permanent possession of the family home, permission to sell the family home in order to divide the sale price between the spouses, an order preventing the sale of the family home without the consent of both spouses, protection against a spouse unreasonably disposing matrimonial property, such as cash in a joint bank account.

The four western Canadian provinces still keep the Dower Act, this act is a very old spouse protection mechanism. It guarantees the widow a third of the matrimonial property, if no adultery was committed by her during the marriage. Also the western provinces keep the “homestead legislation”, it prohibits the sale of the family home without the consent of the wife and a number of other acts that protect the family home. So as you see the joint property is a very serious thing and it is accordingly regulated by various laws. Various provinces have various laws and legislations concerning this type of property and there are numerous cases that can be examined during the case when the property is divided. There is a good movie The War of The Roses that shows a huge complexity of the Matrimonial Property during a divorce. There is a spectacular scene, when Danny De Vito (who plays the family lawyer) throws a huge book on the table, with the words “I found a similar case”. So if you need to solve a property issue with your ex-wife don’t even start discussing it without a lawyer. Also a marriage contract that regulates the property in case of a divorce is a good solution, we already wrote about these documents so you can just search our blog for all the details.
